    People can laugh if they want but if we are talking skills with a guitar imo Buckethead should also be on this list.

    Well, part of what made him revolutionary was that he incorporated noise into the music, feedback and such. That, combined with a looser sounding approach, expanded the palette of sounds guitarists could use. Plus he was a master showman, the playing with his teeth and behind the head - that didn't hurt.
