What's the middleman add to value?
This is an argument I've had with a buddy of mine who's new company is based entirely on being a middleman. I hope it works out for him but as the good doctor points out, the biggest sell is convenience. If people aren't willing to pay for that convenience or if they're being charged too much, that gives them added incentive to circumvent the middle man and go directly to the source.
Send the video to your buddy, might get him thinking in new ways.
I was thinking about that actually. I'm not sure if he'd get the concept but why not.
