    That might be true. However many would argue that MS used and maybe manipulated federal protections to squelch competition. Maybe I remember some issues with the porting of its software to other software.

    But the thread is not about MS. The point I wanted to make was that it wasn't pure Capitalism that produced the wealth the OP has a problem with. Not that wealth is a problem.
