I'm sorry Chris. I mean that too.
It's like carrying the One Ring. Everybody wants it from the outside, but for the guy carrying it, it totally sucks.

Adding Chris back on the mod team is a big mistake. Chris is very high maintenance, he way, way over complicates things, micromanages, layers and layers of bureaucracy. His last stint as mod was nothing short of disastrous, he drove the whole team bat$#@!. He's also kind of a bickering troll and has and will continue to target rivals with his moderator authority.
Peter was the best thing that happened to this forum, his steady, non-reactionary approach was the biggest reason for this forum's success. Chris will change those dynamics, or at the very least throw a wrench into them, the forum will become dryer and stale. But maybe that's what the forum wants. I've been spending too much time here anyway.

Don't count all your chickens before they hatch - or whatever.
Chris admits to making mistakes previously. I think all mods can look back and point out mistakes they've made, or they should be able to anyways. It's often enough the only way to learn to behave differently. His strengths for moderating like following protocols is something we could benefit from, in my opinion. I don't believe there will be a repeat and I have faith he'll perform well in the position.
Anyways, let's not turn this thread into something negative. I understand your concerns but let's give Chris a chance before assuming all hell will break loose or something.

@Captain Obvious you know you are one of my favorite people (I have a fondness for wise-azzes) but I think you are way out of line on this. People grow & change, we all experience new things that make us rethink our actions or thoughts....that is what this forum is about. You are making a judgment based on yesterday's news....not a good thing in politics or people.
We have been operating short a mod for months so the newest, most inexperienced person has been the only one consistently on duty during the day (moi). The forum suffers because of that. I am very grateful that @Chris has agreed to step up and help us out.
