Im half way through Rage by Woodward. Scariest book I have ever read and Ive read most of the insider books so far. Mattis and Coates spoke to Woodward along with Trump.

Home Wreckers, by Aaron Glantz. A great read on the 2008 housing crisis and how Steve Mnuchin and some others that he knew ripped of the American tax payers and took over the housing market. It's extremely well researched through both public documents and Freedom of Information Act documentation.

"Past Tense" by Lee Childs. Its another Jack Reacher book in which Childs does not describe Reacher as looking anything like Tom Cruise.

Now that Cruise has already said they'll be no more Reacher movies for him, I'm waiting for Childs to do what Ace Atkins did in his Spenser novel 'Angel Eyes' - subtly make fun of what they did to the character in the movies by having Reacher meet a Hollywood producer-type who tells him that his story would make a great movie, but they'd have to make him eight inches shorter.

I may have mentioned it before, but when he was here in town shortly after the movie came out Child was asked about it and said that he understood the filmmakers' thinking, in that there just weren't any really tall A-list actors available at the time to do it. (Well that, and I think Cruise was one of the producers, meaning he put up the money, so...) Now, of course, you do have some A-listers who are at least in the 6'3"-6'5" range, like Alexander Skarsgard and the Hemsworth Brothers. Armie Hammer and Jason Segal are both up there, too, though not quite as big in terms of name recognition. Actually I think Liam Hemsworth would make a fantastic Reacher, and I'd like to see a series reboot with him in the lead.

Not reading them yet, but I was out running errands and stopped in to one of the local Goodwill stores to check out the books. I've found some excellent books, often in mint, unread condition in thrift stores over the years, for just a few dollars. Today I found a nice copy of Charlton Heston's autobiography, 'In the Arena', which I've had on my Amazon wish list for some time. I'd have paid almost $18 getting it that way, but at Goodwill, with my military discount, I paid $2.50. Also found an interesting-looking alternate history novel about a G.A. Custer, who survives the Little Big Horn to drop from sight and reestablish himself as a gun for hire named "Armstrong". Should be a hoot.

Sorting through more of my books this weekend and I came across an excellent copy of the 1st paperback printing (1948) of Mickey Spillane's 'I, the Jury'. I paid 75 cents for it some years ago, and in its current condition I could easily get $40-60 for it, if I decide not to keep it in my own collection.
