Election season hysterics

As I said this last weekend, we are going to see more and more heated debates here at our Forum as the elections come and go. The Moderators request that you all exercise judgment and restraint and don’t over react to expected responses to events. We, the Moderators, will not be baited into over-heavy moderation that will only force members away. We take all reported posts seriously and spend considerable time debating the merits, or lack thereof, of every report. It is a thankless task, I assure you.

As I said before, whether we like it or not, we are all in this mess together, and we will only get out of it by coming together to solve our critical problems as a nation.

I suggest for the sensitive members to consider the ignore feature for the duration of the election and post-election cycle. Once the smoke clears it will be safe again to participate fully in our Forum.

The Moderators wish to keep members of all political affiliations and we appreciate your efforts in these difficult times. Peace.

I would like to add that it may be wise when tempted, and we will be deliberately, we step away from the computer before hitting the reply button.

Ignore is the best tool on this forum and remember, there are those who are only here to get a rise out of people and get them in trouble.

Please have a read of the rules and guidelines and also remember, we have an audience. At any one time there are at least as many non members watching as there are members posting.

Someones going to win if we like the person or not. All we can do is our part and hope our vote counts. Worrying about things never solves anything. Like I told one poster that is no longer here, "I only get one vote".

I don't know who they aim to shoot to kill but i would suggest that conservatives stay on your own property to protect it.

Will do, but I have an ex-police officer and army trained here that stays with us, four over 20 somethings and I too was raised on guns. Security system and dogs. This may be the last place they want to show their heads.

This is the reason I turned down the offer of a Romney lawn sign in my yard. People have just gotten too crazy about their politics....who I support and vote for will remain my own business. I got 9, count them, NINE, political calls yesterday, including one each from Michelle and Ann. No wonder people are stirred into a frenzy....by 10 p.m. last night, I was ready to shoot someone myself.
